Our client was established in 2003 and is an independent UK based communications organisation that specialises in Corporate Telecommunication Solutions.  The business has commercial experience drawn from both public and private sectors.  At the heart of the company is the aim to save its customers money with the advantage of excellent services while providing professional and free advice.

As a Sussex Business Awards 2008/09 Finalist, they are able to support its clients with Least Cost Routing, Wholesale Line Rental, Telephone Systems from but not exclusive to Panasonic, SAMSUNG, Toshiba, SIEMENS and AXAYA, Broadband, Mobiles, Cabling and VoIP Solutions.

Key Objective of campaign


Edge has developed a long-term relationship with this company and our core objective has been to generate qualified new business appointments when targeting a broad spread of market sectors.  While most telecommunications companies are incredibly similar, they have a strong network of associate companies, which allows a more comprehensive offering, it has low overheads, and very close involvement with BT Wholesale.  Our role is to highlight these key points and when arranging appointments, to request that the contacts have their telephone bills and existing call plans available for a thorough review by them.

Key Criteria and Specification

As Telecommunications and IT are so closely interlinked for most businesses, we have therefore developed an excellent understanding and knowledge of the “jargon” that is used in these conversations and the buying process and motives that will come into play for these organisations.  The key decision makers that we approach and then secure appointments with will include – Head of Finance, Head of IT, Managing Directors and Heads of Procurement.  Our main criteria for new business appointments is that the contact organisations have an absolute minimum of 30 permanent office based staff.  Our client is so confident of its offering that if it cannot save the prospect company over 20%, it will donate £100 to the charity of the contacts choice.

Campaign Management

Because of the technical nature of our campaign, we have conducted thorough briefing with this company and the telemarketing team dedicated to this campaign.  We have also worked very closely with this client on the profiling and targeting of the contact data and this has proved to be extremely valuable in the ongoing success of this campaign.  In addition, Edge holds and issues supporting PDF documents by email as part of this integrated campaign.
