Every successful business knows the importance of their staff. Motivation is a key ingredient towards facilitating a highly productive workplace environment, all day, every day. Employee motivation, positive morale, rewards and recognition need to be explored to create better working environments and promote successful client relationships.
What creates motivated and enthusiastic staff? How do you maintain high employee morale despite often high demands in terms of working hours? How does your reward and recognition system contribute to or deflate employee motivation, positive morale and retention?
We asked ourselves these questions, and we decided, lets go to the people that know best, the Edge team.
We consulted all staff members on what they would like to see and what would help to motivate and encourage them. After sitting down in one-to-one meetings with the team, together we came up with the new 'Edge Motivation Scheme':
· Nights out and after-work-drinks for team bonding.
· Dress down day on a Friday.
· Opportunities to leave early if targets are achieved and exceeded.
· A weekly quiz with a prize for the winner.
· A bottle of champagne for Telemarketer of the month.
Each month we will discuss new activities and if they turn out to be a success, they will become a permanent fixture.
